Fluid Power Technology Conference

The Fluid Power Technology Conference took place in Milwaukee Wisconsin June 21st and 22nd, 2016. This inaugural conference was hosted by Fluid Power World. The conference was held at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), known as one of the top fluid power universities.

A variety of topics were covered, with multiple technical seminars led by MSOE Fluid Power Institute (FPI) and Professional Education and Resource Development (PERD) faculty. In addition, the founder of CD Industrial Group and Contributing Editor of Fluid Power World Carl Dyke presented a variety of topics.

Mobile hydraulic design, troubleshooting hydraulic systems, roadmap to an application-specific hydraulic cylinder, and rapid reverse engineering for legacy parts were just a few of the topics on the main stage agenda. Tours of MSOE and FPI were also available during the conference.

Aggressive Hydraulics was proud to contribute expertise and experience at the conference. Tony Casassa presented the “Roadmap to an application specific Hydraulic Cylinder.” The presentation included strategies for optimizing operating pressure based on force requirements and overall system configuration; select mounting style, including unusual and non-standard mounts; explore integrated linear position sensors; review integrated cartridge valve manifolds and environmental exposure; and more.
